Public consultation on the draft protocol for the exposure assessment as part of the safety assessment of sweeteners under the food additives re-evaluation programme

EFSA's Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings (FAF Panel) has launched an open consultation on the draft “Protocol for the exposure assessment as part of the safety assessment of sweeteners under the food additives re-evaluation programme” conducted in the framework of Regulation (EC) No 257/2010. This consultation is intended to gain inputs from the interested parties and the scientific community on the proposed approach to assess the exposure to sweeteners that are being reevaluated by EFSA in the context of the re-evaluation programme of food additives. Interested parties are invited to submit written comments.

Please note that comments will not be considered if they:

  • are submitted after the closing date of the public consultation
  • are presented in any form other than that provided for in the instructions and template
  • are not related to the contents of the document
  • contain complaints against institutions, personal accusations, irrelevant or offensive statements or material
  • are related to policy or risk management aspects, which are outside EFSA's remit.

EFSA will assess all comments from interested parties which are submitted in line with the above criteria. The comments will be further considered by the relevant EFSA expert panel and taken into consideration if found to be relevant.

Copyright-cleared contributions

Persons or organisations participating in a Public Consultation of EFSA are responsible for ensuring that they hold all the rights necessary for their submissions and consequent publication by EFSA. Comments should inter alia be copyright cleared1 taking into account EFSA’s transparency policy and practice to publish all submissions. In case the submission reproduces third-party content in the form of charts, graphs or images, the required prior permissions of the right holder(s) should have been obtained by the PC respondent.

Publication of contributions

All comments submitted will be published. Comments submitted by individuals in a personal capacity will be presented anonymously. Comments submitted formally on behalf of an organisation will appear with the name of the organisation.
