Summary
The webinar presented a calculation tool assisting the assessment of exposure of operators, workers, residents and bystanders to pesticides. The calculation tool is part of a guidance document that sets out a harmonised methodology for calculating exposure to pesticides for four major population groups - operators, workers, residents and bystanders. The user-friendly software tool consists of data spread sheets to quantify potential non-dietary, systemic exposure to pesticides.
The webinar was mainly addressed to Member States and companies that need to perform the exposure and risk assessment, but it was open to everybody interested in the practical use of the calculation tool.
A total of 296 users registered for the webinar with 203 of them taking part at the event. The two-hour webinar included practical scenarios on how to use the calculation tool followed by a lively and open discussion.
