Webinar: Application procedure for food enzymes, food flavourings and food additives

Summary

The first webinar of EFSA’s series aimed at helping applicants better understand the new requirements introduced by the Transparency Regulation was held on 4 June and looked at the application procedure for food enzymes, food flavourings and food additives.

The online event covered topics such as account creation in the new system, requesting a pre-application ID, notification of studies, confidentiality issues and public consultation practices. A demo on the E-Submission Food Chain Platform (ESFC) was also given.

The event was attended by about 200 participants, including business operators, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other stakeholders with an interest in the topic. A total of 26 questions were submitted throughout the webinar and were answered by speakers and contributors in writing or orally during the Q&A session.
