An Coiste Eolaíochta
Forbraíonn an Coiste Eolaíochta modheolaíochtaí comhchuibhithe measúnaithe riosca ar ábhair eolaíochta de chineál cothrománach sna réimsí atá laistigh de shainchúram EFSA i gcás nach bhfuil cuir chuige ar fud an AE sainithe cheana féin. Soláthraíonn sé comhordú ginearálta chun comhsheasmhacht a áirithiú sna tuairimí eolaíocha a ullmhaíonn Painéil Eolaíochta EFSA. Soláthraíonn sé comhairle eolaíoch straitéiseach freisin do bhainistíocht EFSA.
Is eolaithe iomráiteacha ó gach cearn den Eoraip iad comhaltaí an Choiste Eolaíochta, a bhfuil sármhaitheas eolaíochta aitheanta acu agus inniúlachtaí á leathadh ar fud disciplíní laistigh de shainchúram, sinsearacht agus taithí roimh ré EFSA le comhlachtaí eolaíochta:
- Cleachtas measúnaithe riosca - measúnú riosca ar shláinte an duine, measúnú ar thomhaltas agus nochtadh bia, measúnú riosca ar an gcomhshaol, measúnú riosca ar shláinte ainmhithe, tocsaineolaíocht, micribhitheolaíocht, cothú an duine, eipidéimeolaíocht, sláinte ainmhithe, leas ainmhithe, leigheas an duine, leigheas tréidliachta, sláinteachas bia, teicneolaíocht an bhia, ceimic, bitheolaíocht, bithcheimic, eolaíochtaí na beatha.
- Saincheisteanna eolaíochta trasearnálacha - cuir chuige staidrimh i measúnú riosca, treoir a ullmhú maidir le measúnú sábháilteachta ar chur i bhfeidhm teicneolaíochtaí nua i réimse an bhia agus na beatha, comhchuibhiú a dhéanamh ar úsáid toimhdí réamhshocraithe in éagmais fíorshonraí, measúnú sábháilteachta ar luibheanna agus ullmhóidí luibheolaíocha agus teicnící comhlántacha bailíochtaithe a thabhairt isteach i measúnú riosca ag baint úsáide as teicneolaíochtaí ‘ómaíochta’, QSAR agus samhlacha matamaiticiúla.

Networks
What are EFSA's networks?
EFSA’s networks consist of nationally appointed EU Member State organisations with expertise in the fields covered by the network. Representatives of the Commission and of other organisations (including those from outside the EU) with specific expertise may also be invited to participate in the work of EFSA Networks.
Networks are chaired by EFSA and supported by relevant EFSA units. Their aim is to facilitate scientific cooperation in the field of EFSA’s mission by:
- coordinating activities,
- exchanging information,
- developing and implementing joint projects,
- and exchanging expertise and best practices.

Risk assessment of nanotechnologies in food and feed
