Webinar on the role of water used in the growing, handling and processing of fruits, vegetables and herbs on the spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) – call for tender OC/EFSA/BIOHAW/2023/01

Background

EFSA has launched a call for tender (OC/EFSA/BIOHAW/2023/01) to gain insights on the role of water used in pre- and post-harvest handling and processing operations of fresh and frozen fruits, vegetables and herbs (e.g. reclaimed or re-used water) on the spread of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria and resistance determinants (genes, plasmids, total resistome) in different European regions.

Objectives of the event

The objective of the webinar was to provide an overview of the above-mentioned call for tender.

During the webinar, participants had the possibility to ask questions in writing, using the chat function. Questions were collected and anonymised to be answered in writing and published shortly after the event. The answers are accessible here on Ted eTendering.
