Contaminants de la chaîne alimentaire

Le groupe scientifique sur les contaminants de la chaîne alimentaire (groupe CONTAM) émet des avis scientifiques sur les contaminants présents dans la chaîne alimentaire et sur les substances indésirables, telles que les toxiques naturels, les mycotoxines et les résidus de substances non autorisées.

Les membres du groupe CONTAM sont des scientifiques provenant de toute l'Europe et possédant des compétences spécialisées en :

  • Chimie – organique, inorganique, analytique, transformation de l’alimentation humaine et animale dans le domaine des contaminants chimiques.
  • Évaluation de l'exposition – une expertise est requise en particulier en matière d'évaluation de l'exposition alimentaire aux contaminants chimiques, y compris des connaissances sur les enquêtes de consommation alimentaire.
  • Toxicologie humaine et vétérinaire (en évaluation des risques associés aux produits chimiques) – absorption, distribution, métabolisme, excrétion (ADME) des substances (toxicocinétique et toxicodynamique), toxicité subchronique et chronique (études à doses répétées), génotoxicité et mutagénicité, toxicité pour le développement et la reproduction, cancérogénicité, allergénicité et immunotoxicité.
  • Tests toxicologiques sur animaux de laboratoire – interprétation des effets toxiques des contaminants chimiques dans les exploitations agricoles et chez les animaux de compagnie.
  • Epidémiologie – biomarqueurs des effets, exposition et interprétation des données humaines).
  • Statistiques – évaluation des effets dose-réponse, par ex. modélisation de la dose de référence et analyse d’ensembles de données (épidémiologiques) complexes.
  • Nutrition animale – évaluation de l'exposition des animaux.
